DCA-CardLinx Fall Summit Summary – October 2024

Executive Leaders from companies including Mastercard, T-Mobile Advertising Solutions, Rakuten, Cartera, FIS, TransUnion, Cardlytics, VantageScore, Augeo, Kigo, Valuedynamx, SKUx, Wildfire, vPromos, Dejavoo, and The Coupon Bureau explored the theme “From Transactions to Commerce Experiences: Innovating the POS for Merchants and Commerce Providers” at the DCA-CardLinx Fall Summit. Leading card issuers, financial institutions, retailers, card-linked technology companies, and digital marketing technology innovators came together at the DCA-CardLinx Fall Summit to share key industry insights. Top companies in attendance included Mastercard, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Citi, T-Mobile Advertising Solutions, TransUnion, Rakuten, FIS, Cash App and many more.
The DCA-CardLinx Fall Summit was hosted by Mastercard at the Mastercard Tech Hub in New York, NY.
At the DCA-CardLinx Fall Summit, industry leaders discussed the theme of transactions to commerce experiences and innovating the POS for merchants and commerce providers. These topics included: ‘Point of Sale Evolution’; ‘Assessing Consumer Credit and POS Value Proposition: BNPL and Gen Z Insights’; ‘Emerging Offer Delivery and Monetization Platforms’; ‘Universal Coupons – Introducing a New Industry Standard for Product Offers’; ‘Innovation Through Partnerships – The Art of the Possible’; ‘Thriving in the Loyalty Era’; ‘Customer Perspective on Shopping & Loyalty’; and ‘Merchant Perspectives on the Evolving POS Environment.’
Dan Currell from DCA-CardLinx kicked off the event by laying out the agenda for the day and informing everyone which companies would be speaking, as well as sharing some information on other companies who were in attendance.
Ethan Chuang, Vice President, Merchant Loyalty Product at Mastercard, Jeff Mankoff, Founder & CEO of vPromos, and Serena Smith, Director of ISV Channel Development at Dejavoo kicked off the day with a panel on “Point of Sale Evolution.”
Paul Siegfried, SVP, Head of Card & Banking at TransUnion, and Atif Mirza, Vice President of Digital at VantageScore were our next speakers and shared their insights on “Assessing Consumer Credit and POS Value Proposition: BNPL and Gen Z Insights.”
Next up, Patrick Callinan, Director Strategic Initiatives and Chief of Staff at T-Mobile Advertising Solutions, David Kristal, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Augeo, and Ben Straley, President and Chief Product Officer of Kigo presented on “Emerging Offer Delivery and Monetization Platforms.”
Our next trio of speakers, Avinash Chukka, Vice President of Product, Data & Ads at Cardlytics, Brett Watson, Chief Executive Officer of The Coupon Bureau, and Jeff Hudson, Chief Integrations Officer at The Coupon Bureau took a deep dive into “Universal Coupons – Introducing a New Industry Standard for Product Offers.”
Cheryl Nuttall, Senior Director, Enterprise Strategy at FIS, and Bobby Tinsley, C0-Founder & CEO of SKUx did a joint presentation on “Innovation Through Partnerships – The Art of the Possible.”
Next we heard from Shawn Conahan, Chief Revenue Officer of Wildfire, who presented on “Thriving in the Loyalty Era.”
Kelli Hobbs, VP, Head of US Business Development at Valuedynamx, sat down for a Fireside Chat with Dan Currell of DCA-CardLinx and had an insightful discussion about “Customer Perspective on Shopping & Loyalty.”
To close out the day, Megan Gaffey, Senior Director of Publisher Partnerships at Rakuten Advertising, and Tony Buglione, Vice President, Business Development at Cartera, A Rakuten Company, had a discussion all about “Merchant Perspectives on the Evolving POS Environment.”
